Galle, Aug. 17 -- Ravindra Jadeja and Manav Suthar combined to crush Sri Lanka's late resistance as India bowled out the hosts for 284 on the third day of the opening Test, taking a commanding 178-run first-innings lead.
Sri Lanka looked down and out at 99/5 before Sonal Dinusha and Niroshan Dickwella staged a remarkable recovery, adding 146 for the sixth wicket. But India's spinners kept creating chances before Jadeja finally broke the partnership and then removed centurion Dinusha in a decisive burst that triggered Sri Lanka's collapse.
