Bhubaneswar, June 2 -- The Odisha Chapter of the Institute of Town Planners, India (ITPI) has called for comprehensive reforms to strengthen the state's urban planning ecosystem, stressing the urgent need for large-scale recruitment of professional town planners and institutional restructuring to effectively manage Odisha's rapidly expanding urban landscape.

The recommendations were presented during a high-level consultation meeting held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Housing and Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra.
