Bhubaneswar, July 22 -- Odisha Skill Development and Technical Education Minister Sampad Chandra Swain on Wednesday called upon Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and Polytechnics across the state to emerge as centres of excellence capable of producing competent, industry-ready professionals to meet the growing demand for skilled human resources.

Chairing a comprehensive review meeting with the principals of all 72 Government ITIs and 35 Government Polytechnics, the Minister assessed the performance of the institutions and discussed measures to strengthen the quality, relevance and outcomes of technical education in Odisha.
