Parwinder SandhuNew Delhi, May 14 -- Italy and Armenia on Thursday underlined their countries' growing strategic alignment with India and pitched for deeper defence cooperation, technology partnerships, and military engagement at the third edition of Kalam and Kavach 3.0 held in the national capital.
Addressing the gathering, Ambassador of Italy to India Antonio Enrico Bartoli said New Delhi had emerged as a "strategic priority" for Italy and stressed that defence and security had become a central pillar of bilateral ties.
Calling India an "indispensable interlocutor in international affairs", he said Rome viewed New Delhi as a crucial partner in ensuring global stability, maritime security, and freedom of navigation.
