New Delhi, June 21 -- In the latest update on the alleged financial irregularities, tax evasion, and alleged misuse of government funds involving the Lucknow-registered Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar Trust and Jauhar University in Rampur, sources in the Income Tax Department have said that notices were issued to the University.
The notices were reportedly issued on June 17.
The notices pertain to alleged irregularities in the trust's financial transactions, tax evasion and the alleged misuse of government funds.
The trust and the university are mainly run by Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan.
