Tel Aviv, July 26 -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned that Israel is prepared to expand its military operations in the occupied West Bank as army raids and settler attacks continue to escalate, with dozens of Palestinians detained in overnight operations in Nablus.

Netanyahu said Israel was "prepared to act more broadly" against what he described as "terrorist strongholds" as settler attacks and military raids continued across the occupied West Bank. Israeli forces carried out raids in several Palestinian towns and villages amid the escalating tensions.
