Bengaluru, July 15 -- Isha Gramotsavam, India's largest rural sports festival, is set for its biggest edition yet, expanding to 10 states and one union Territory and bringing together more than 80,000 players from over 40,000 villages to compete for a prize pool exceeding Rs 1 crore, organisers said on Wednesday.
The 18th edition marks the tournament's first expansion into Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha and Maharashtra, extending its footprint beyond South India. These states join Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Puducherry, making this the widest geographical reach since the event was launched in 2004.
