Shimla, March 30 -- The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha has flagged financial irregularities amounting to nearly Rs 25 crore in the state Police Department, exposing serious lapses in financial management, recovery of dues and utilisation of public funds.
The findings are based on long-pending audit paras of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG), many of which remained unresolved for years.
The PAC report points to a pattern of systemic financial indiscipline, where funds were either left unrecovered, blocked in incomplete works, or spent in violation of prescribed rules.
