Ranchi, March 5 -- Reacting to the decision of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to move to the Rajya Sabha, Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari said stepping down from the important responsibility of Chief Minister to join the Upper House appears to be a politically self-destructive decision.
Ansari said it was difficult to understand what circumstances led Kumar to take such a step. He questioned whether there was any political pressure behind the move and said that if Kumar had been compelled in any way, it would be a matter of serious concern not only for him but also for the spirit of democracy.
