Kochi, March 7 -- The recent arrival of the Iranian naval vessel, IRIS Lavan, at Kochi underscores Kerala's growing prominence in international maritime law, said Justice V.M. Shyamkumar of the Kerala High Court.
Speaking at a special lecture on contemporary maritime laws, he described the event as a "living testament" to India's strategic and legal significance in global maritime affairs.
The lecture, titled "Navigating Change: India's New Maritime Laws and Global Integration," was jointly organized by the Nuvaal Center for Parliamentary Studies and Law Reforms and the Indian Law Institute State Unit.
