Tehran, July 2 -- An Iranian military commander has warned the US and Israel against conducting any new military action as the country prepares for holding the state funeral of the slain Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed in Israeli airstrikes on February 28 at the start of the war.
"We warn the enemies of Iran, especially the US and the Zionist regime, to avoid any miscalculation and to think about the harsh retaliation our armed forces would make to any threat and aggression against our country," Ali Abdollahi, commander of the Iran's central military command, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters (KCHQ), said in remarks carried by state media on Thursday.
