Tehran, June 6 -- Iran on Saturday accused the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of politicising its role and urged it to avoid pressuring Tehran, hours after US forces attacked Iranian coastal surveillance radar sites in the city of Goruk and on Qeshm Island, further escalating tensions despite an existing ceasefire.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said the UN nuclear watchdog should not allow its technical reports to become instruments of political pressure if it seeks to contribute constructively to resolving Tehran's nuclear dispute through diplomacy.
