Tehran, June 19 -- Iran has reportedly suspended plans to begin direct talks with US officials in Switzerland, citing the continued fighting between Israel and Hezbollah and comments by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which it argued, violated its interim agreement with the US.

The talks were due to begin today as part of the next phase of negotiations outlined in the memorandum of understanding signed by both countries earlier this week.
