Tehran, April 18 -- Iran's Supreme National Security Council today dubbed the US naval blockade on its ports as 'a violation of the ceasefire agreement' while refusing to reopen the Strait of Hormuz until the blockade is lifted.

In a statement, Iran's Supreme National Security Council said that Pakistan Army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir, serving as an intermediary, presented Tehran with new US proposals, upon his recent visit to the capital, which are currently under review.

The contents of Washington's proposals to Iran have so far not been revealed, remaining classified.
