Tehran, July 13 -- Iran has established a temporary safe maritime corridor in the Strait of Hormuz that is "free of technical and military barriers" and compliant with the Islamabad memorandum of understanding, the country's embassy in the UK said on Monday.
In a post on X, the embassy claimed the Strait of Hormuz had become a "high-risk zone" for maritime traffic due to what it described as US military aggression in the region.
The embassy also accused Washington of directing vessels towards a "dangerous southern parallel route" through Omani waters, referring to guidance issued by the Joint Maritime Information Center (JMIC), which has advised commercial ships to use the southern passage.
