Tehran, March 17 -- Iran's Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, warned that US military action cannot destroy the country's weapons facilities, underscoring rising tensions in the Strait of Hormuz.

He further asserted that any resolution of the conflict would reshape the Middle East, which would not be in favor of American interests, as regional order and security would be established by the Islamic countries.

In a televised interview, Qalibaf said the strategically vital waterway, through which a significant portion of the world's oil passes, remains under threat due to the ongoing American and Israeli "presence" in the Gulf region, CNN reported.

"The Strait of Hormuz cannot be the same as before and return to its previous condit...
