Tehran/Washington, May 3 -- Iran has tabled a fresh proposal for the US, calling for ending the war within 30 days, signalling a push for a comprehensive settlement rather than another short-term ceasefire.
The plan, conveyed through diplomatic channels, is understood to prioritise a rapid de-escalation, with Tehran seeking an outright end to hostilities alongside broader terms that would reshape the current standoff.
At the same time, oil producers moved to steady markets. The OPEC said seven members of the OPEC alliance - Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria and Oman - had agreed to adjust output by 188,000 barrels per day in June.
