Tehran, March 29 -- Warning that Tehran will not yield to pressure, Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said on Sunday that the United States was plotting a ground attack despite publicly engaging in diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the war.

"The enemy publicly sends messages of negotiation and dialogue while secretly planning a ground attack," Ghalibaf said in a statement carried by the official IRNA news agency.

He described the US's 15-point plan, which Pakistan passed to Iran last week, as "their wishes" and said the Trump administration is attempting to do through the plan what it has failed to achieve by force.
