New Delhi, March 1 -- In view of escalating hostilities between Iran and Israel, the Central Board of Secondary Education has deferred the Class 10 and Class 12 Board examinations slated for March 2 at its examination centres across the Middle East, including Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

The decision was taken as a precautionary measure amid the volatile security environment triggered by recent US-Israel strikes on Iran and subsequent retaliatory missile attacks, with reports of airspace closures, explosions and heightened military alerts in parts of the region. The board said the safety and well-being of students and staff remain its foremost priority.
