Tehran, Sept. 19 -- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has called for the non-discriminatory implementation of international law and urged the international community to move away from militarism and interventionism towards sustainable development, respect for national sovereignty and lasting peace.
Addressing an event on Saturday, Araghchi said the world needed "genuine, effective, and fair multilateralism" more than ever.
"If international law is disregarded whenever the interests of major powers dictate, one can no longer speak of the rule of law. If human rights are an inherent right for some nations and a conditional privilege for others, they can no longer be called universal," he said.
