Tehran, Aug. 2 -- Iran has not reached any agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, IRGC-affiliated Fars News reported on Sunday, citing a source close to Tehran's nuclear negotiating team, contradicting reports that a breakthrough had helped avert planned U.S. military strikes.
The source said the strategic waterway would remain closed as long as what it described as U.S. "hostile actions" continued, adding that ships would be allowed to transit only through a designated route with permission from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy.
