Tehran, Oct. 3 -- Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned restrictions imposed on commercial air traffic between Iran and Iraq, blaming the United States' "extraterritorial" sanctions for disrupting air transport and commercial ties between the two neighbouring countries.

In a statement issued on October 1, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said the restrictions were affecting travelers, patients, students and businesses, and called for the restoration of normal air routes between Iran and Iraq.
