Tehran/London, July 25 -- Iran is allegedly using migrant smuggling routes into the UK to move covert operatives into the country, reported The Telegraph on Saturday, citing unnamed Iranian officials, people smugglers and security analysts.
According to the report, the operation is centred on Unit 700, a logistics and smuggling arm of the IRGC's Quds Force which Britain had sanctioned in 2024, accusing it of facilitating activities intended to destabilise the UK and other countries.
Quoting an anonymous Iranian official, the report said that London's support for US military operations against Tehran had made it a potential target for covert Iranian operations.
