Kolkata, Sept. 8 -- An international team led by Prof. Shoubhik Das of the University of Bayreuth, Germany, is developing a cleaner, safer and potentially cheaper way to manufacture chemicals by turning carbon dioxide (CO2) from a climate concern into a useful raw material.
The research team includes scientists from several countries, including Poland, Sweden, China and Italy.
The study centres on oxidation chemistry, a process widely used to manufacture pharmaceutical compounds and other products such as plastics, cosmetics, fragrances and agricultural chemicals.
