Imphal, June 26 -- Marking the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2026, Manipur Police on Friday organised a Mega 10-km Awareness Run in Imphal to promote the message of a drug-free society.
The run was flagged off from Kangla Western Gate by Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh in the presence of Home Minister Konthoujam Govindas, Chief Secretary Puneet Goel, Director General of Police Mukesh Singh and other senior civil and police officials.
The route began at Kangla Western Gate, proceeded to Iroisemba Chingjin as the turning point, and concluded at the starting point.
The event drew an overwhelming response, with nearly 1,650 participants from different sections of society taking part in the awareness run. ...
