Mumbai, June 5 -- There is a power struggle within the NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) over the nomination of the party's candidate for the by-election for the Rajya Sabha seat vacated by Sunetra Pawar.
She had resigned to pave the way for her induction as Deputy CM in place of then incumbent Ajit Pawar following his demise in a plane crash earlier this year.
The Election Commission has scheduled the polling and counting for June 18.
