Bengaluru/Paris, July 27 -- French labour authorities have imposed a €175,000 (around Rs 2 crore) fine on Infosys' French subsidiary for failing to maintain legally mandated records of employees' working hours, overtime and rest periods, the IT services giant disclosed in a regulatory filing to stock exchanges.
The penalty follows an inspection by France's Labour Department, which found deficiencies in the company's system for monitoring and recording employees' daily and weekly working time, a key requirement under the country's stringent labour laws.
