Hyderabad, May 4 -- Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu today urged the IT industry to take greater responsibility in skilling the state's large pool of engineering graduates, stressing that academic education alone is insufficient to meet industry demands.
Speaking at the 10th anniversary celebrations of PSR Techhub in Begumpet, the Minister highlighted that nearly two lakh engineering graduates pass out of Telangana every year. He said the responsibility of making them industry-ready cannot rest solely with the government and called on companies to institutionalise structured training and mentorship programmes.
