Chennai, March 4 -- Noted industrialist V.R.Muthu, Managing Director of V.V.V. & Sons Edible Oils Limited the company that owns the Idhayam oil brand, passed away today.
Born to businessman V.V.V. Rajendran in 1963, Muthu a Graduate in Commerce from M.M.K. College, Mumbai, had his schooling in Tamil Nadu and Pre-University Course (PUC) at St.Joseph College, Trichy.
After a short stint in an audit firm as an intern in Chennai, Muthu joined his father's Gingelly Oil manufacturing and marketing business.
From the start Muthu was focused on branding the commodity product - Gingelly Oil- through innovative advertising and marketing.
