Jakarta, Aug. 26 -- Indonesia have named their squad for their first-ever Women's Asia Cup campaign.
The team qualified via the ACC Women's Premier Cup in June, staggeringly with just 11 playing members over the course of the event. Dara Maramitha misses out from the qualification group, with the likes of young spinner Sofia Velic and the hard-hitting Maria Corazon Wombaki entering the squad.
The Indonesians enjoyed a fine qualification campaign, reaching the semi-finals before falling to Thailand, and losing to Hong Kong, China in the third-place play-off.
Experienced skipper Nanda Sakarini again leads the team, with Velic adding to a bowling group of quality, headlined by ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup 2023 standouts Wesika Ratna D...
