New Delhi, March 9 -- India's indigenously developed BrahMos supersonic cruise missile, which recently drew attention after being used to strike terrorist targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir during Operation Sindoor, is again in focus as Indonesia is reportedly acquiring the powerful missile system for its armed forces.
According to media reports in Jakarta, Indonesia has decided to procure the coastal defence variant of the BrahMos missile from India following prolonged negotiations between the two sides.
Sources said Indonesia's Ministry of Defence has finalised the procurement of coastal batteries of the missile system, although a formal agreement has yet to be signed and financial details of the deal remain undisclosed....
