Panaji (Goa), June 24 -- Indian Women "A" team comprising Varalakshmi Periasamy, Sumathi Iyer, Ameeta Raythatha, Vasanti Shah, Asha Sharma, and Puja Batra entered the semi final of the Women event collecting 105.39 Victory Points (VPs) and securing 3rd position in overall ranking at the conclusion of 9th round Swiss league in the ongoing 5th Asia Cup Bridge Championship being held at the Taj Cidade de Goa here on Wednesday.
Beside India "A", league leader China (127.61 VPs) , 2nd placed Indonesia ( 108.23) and 4th placed Japan ( 89.14 VPs) also moved into the last four knock-out stage bagging 1st , 2nd &4th position respectively in the league stage.
