Panchkula, Oct. 2 -- The Indian women's hockey team scripted history at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan on Friday, winning the gold medal after a gap of 44 years, with eight players in the title-winning squad having a connection with Haryana. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini congratulated the Indian team and the country on the historic victory, calling it a moment of immense pride.
