New Delhi, July 2 -- The Badminton Association of India (BAI) will introduce the new 3x15 scoring system in all domestic tournaments from July 2026, giving Indian players an early opportunity to adapt before the format becomes mandatory in international badminton from January 2027.

The new scoring system will make its debut at the All India Senior Ranking meet in Ernakulam, scheduled from July 7 to 14.

The move is aimed at helping players, coaches and technical officials get used to the new format well before the Badminton World Federation (BWF) rolls it out globally.
