Kochi, Aug. 21 -- The Indian Navy on Friday received 'Mangrol', the third of eight Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW SWCs) indigenously designed and built by Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), marking a major step in strengthening the country's indigenous maritime defence capabilities.

The warship was delivered to the Navy at CSL in the presence of senior officials from the Navy and the shipyard. The Delivery Protocol was signed by Dr Harikrishnan S, Director (Operations), CSL, and Commander U Sharan Kumar, Commanding Officer (Designate), 'Mangrol'.
