Pune, May 17 -- The Indian Labour union (Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh) has strongly demanded that the Employees' State Insurance (ESI) Hospital at Bibwewadi in Pune be made fully operational at the earliest with all modern medical facilities, stressing the need to strengthen the ESI healthcare system for workers and their families across Maharashtra.
A detailed meeting regarding pending issues under the ESI scheme, hospital infrastructure, workers' healthcare concerns, implementation of schemes, beneficiary coverage and expansion of services was held at Mantralaya, Mumbai n the presence of the State Labour Minister and Health Minister.
