Dhaka/New Delhi, Aug. 24 -- Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi on Monday called for stronger business-to-business ties between New Delhi and Dhaka, saying economic cooperation should continue even as politics takes its own course.

"Let us have business-to-business together. Politics will continue in its own way, but it is our responsibility to deliver what people deserve," Trivedi told reporters at the Secretariat after meeting Commerce Minister Khandakar Abdul Muktadir.

"I have no doubt that the future is very positive. Let things take their own time, and let us work together for the people of both countries," he said, amid continuing uncertainty over Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's India visit.
