New Delhi, Aug. 20 -- Prominent Indian criminal lawyer Vijay Agarwal, who has represented fugitive diamantaire Mehul Choksi, was arrested in London on August 11 and charged with sexually assaulting two women, according to reports citing the London Metropolitan Police.
Agarwal, who practises in the Indian Supreme Court and the Delhi High Court, was arrested along with his assistant Manpreet Kaur at a serviced townhouse apartment in Mayfair where the two were staying, the reports said.
Both were subsequently charged and appeared before Westminster Magistrates' Court on August 13.
Attempts to confirm the story with British authorities have, however, not yielded any answer as yet.
