New Delhi, Aug. 1 -- The Indian Army on Saturday bid a solemn farewell to former Chief of the Army Staff General Vishwa Nath Sharma (Retd.), who was cremated with full military honours at the Brar Square Crematorium in the national capital. General Sharma passed away on Friday morning at the age of 97.
Chief of the Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth, on behalf of all ranks of the Indian Army, laid a wreath and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. Former Army Chief and Governor of Mizoram General VK Singh (Retd.) also paid floral tributes and attended the funeral.
