Kochi, Aug. 11 -- The Indian Navy and the US Navy are conducting a five-day bilateral Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) exercise at the Southern Naval Command in Kochi from August 10 to 14, aimed at enhancing interoperability between specialist diving and EOD teams of the two navies.
The exercise, which commenced on August 10, is designed to strengthen professional cooperation and facilitate the exchange of expertise in handling contemporary EOD challenges.
The programme includes subject matter expert exchanges, cross-training, equipment demonstrations and scenario-based practical training. It provides an opportunity for personnel from both navies to share contemporary EOD techniques, advanced technologies and best operational practices....
