New Delhi, May 24 -- US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Sunday described India and the United States as "strong strategic partners" having common interests and is not merely one of bilateral convenience, but a deep, globally relevant strategic alliance that transcends regional boundaries.

Speaking during high-level delegation talks with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar in New Delhi, Rubio painted a confident picture of a relationship marked by shared democratic values, converging interests, and a widening scope of cooperation.
