New Delhi, March 19 -- India is actively diversifying its liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports away from the West Asia to secure supplies amid rising tensions and potential shipping disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.
Expressing concern over disruptions in energy supply routes impacting LPG availability, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that India is working to diversify its sources of LPG imports.
"India is also trying to diversify its sources, looking for LPG supply from other parts of the world. We are working continuously to secure our energy needs," he said.
