New Delhi, July 16 -- India's economy is expected to moderate this year as escalating geopolitical tensions, softer global demand and persistent trade uncertainties weigh on economic activity, according to Moody's Analytics.
Despite the slowdown, the country is projected to remain one of the fastest-growing major economies globally.
In its latest global outlook, Moody's Analytics said the world economy is entering a period of slower expansion, with growth expected to ease to 2.5% in 2026, compared with a long-term potential of over 3%, before improving modestly to 2.8% in 2027.
