New Delhi, Sept. 13 -- India will host the World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF) 2026 in Gandhinagar from September 15-18, bringing together more than 2,000 participants from over 65 countries to discuss ways to expand recycling, reuse and resource efficiency across sectors, officials said on Sunday.

According to the Environment Ministry, the forum is being held for the first time in South Asia and will focus on the theme "Circular Economy: Transition for People and Prosperity" and is expected to bring businesses, policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs and investors together to discuss financing, technology and policy measures for a more circular economy.
