Southampton, July 11 -- The toss for the fifth and final T20 International between India and England was delayed at The Rose Bowl here on Saturday after the Indian team got caught in traffic while travelling to the stadium, in what is considered a rare logistical disruption in international cricket.

The match was scheduled to begin at 1830 IST, but the toss could not be held as the Indian players and support staff had not reached the venue in time.

Match officials confirmed that the delay was caused by traffic congestion and not by rain or any other operational issue. The England team had already arrived at the ground and was awaiting India's arrival before the toss could take place.
