New Delhi, July 4 -- India men's hockey team head coach Craig Fulton believes his side's recent performances in the FIH Pro League have given the team the confidence it needs ahead of major tournaments like the FIH Hockey World Cup and the Asian Games.

India's Pro League campaign began on a disappointing note during the home leg in Rourkela, where they lost to Belgium and Argentina. Things gradually improved during the Hobart leg. After losing 0-2 to Spain, India drew 2-2 with Australia and 1-1 with Spain but lost both matches in shootouts. The team ended the Australian leg on a positive note by beating Australia 3-1 in the shootout after another 1-1 draw.
