Nagoya, Sept. 27 -- India turned Day 8 of the Asian Games into a medal-making frenzy, harvesting seven medals in a late burst led by athletics, while squash produced a silver double and boxing guaranteed three more podium finishes.
After a relatively quiet start to the day, India's campaign exploded into life in the second half as Ancy Sojan and Sarvesh Kushare won silver in the women's long jump and men's high jump respectively, while Tejaswin Shankar and Parul Chaudhary added bronze medals in the decathlon and 3000m steeplechase.
Harita Bhadra then produced one of the day's most dramatic finishes, snatching bronze in the women's 200m by just 0.01 seconds in a photo finish.
