Geneva, June 24 -- India delivered a strong diplomatic intervention at a UN Security Council (UNSC) Arria-formula meeting on "Bridging the implementation gap: UNSC resolutions and Maintenance of International Peace and Security," asserting a clear distinction between Chapters VI and VII of the UN Charter while sharply criticising Pakistan for politicising the forum.

India's Permanent Representative to the UN, Parvathaneni Harish, underlined that Chapter VII interventions are designed to address specific prevailing security realities and lose relevance if not implemented in their context.
