New Delhi, Sept. 9 -- India's textile and apparel industry started its AI, digitisation and automation journey, but readiness remains a work in progress, said a joint report released by the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) supported by the Northern India Textile Research Association.

The study "AI, Automation and Digitisation Readiness in the Indian Textile and Apparel Industry" covered the wider textile value chain from spinning through garmenting and included home/technical textiles and allied services.
