Nagpur, July 14 -- : Creative professionals, including filmmakers and digital content creators are playing a crucial role in strengthening India's position in the global Orange Economy, said Dr Ashish Kulkarni, Member of the Board of Directors of the Indian Institute of Creative Technology (IICT) on Tuesday.

Addressing a one-day media workshop on "Creating a Future Ready Workforce for India's Creative Economy" organised by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, at Chitnavis Centre here, Dr Kulkarni said India currently accounts for nearly three per cent of the global Orange Economy and is aiming to raise its contribution to 12-15 per cent in the coming decade.
